Md. Shahidul Haque
Chairman of Exotica Homes Ltd is a business entrepreneur in construction sector in Bangladesh. He has 30 years of experience in construction and development of various public infrastructures as an enlisted contractor of Bangladesh Army, Public Works Department and other government and private agencies.
Chairman is innovative and efficient in making business partnership and relations with public and private conglomerates. In long career, Chairman of Exotica has made business partnership with national and international business firms, including Changjiang Chanpin Company Ltd (CCCL), Daeshan Bangladesh (Pvt) Ltd, Aftab Poultry & Feeds, Nourish Poultry and Hatchery, Kazi Poultry Ltd and many other entities.
Md. Rakibul Haque
Managing Director of Exotica Homes Ltd performs major operational roles of the firm. He is an Erasmus Mundus scholar and has received postgraduation in Environmental Science from the University of Manchester, UK. Mr. Rakib is passionate to focus on sustainable and green development in construction sector in Bangladesh and always in endeavor to adopt modern concept of housing that ensures accommodation for mass population of this land hungry country.
Besides construction business operation, he has worked for environmental conservation from 1996 to 2008 with Center for Natural Resource Studies (CNRS), International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and UNDP-Comprehensive Disaster Management Program (CDMP) in various capacities. Major programs that he worked during working with CNRS, IUCN and UNDP included community-based wetland conservation, natural resource management, disaster preparedness and response, and climate change adaptation.
Mr. Haque also worked for Participatory Watershed Management of Hail Haor Project under Management of Aquatic ecosystem through Community Husbandry (MACH) from 1999 to 2000 sponsored by USAID. Mr. Haque was responsible for delineation of Hail haor watershed area at Srimangol through participatory Land Use Survey and Resource Mapping; demonstration of eco-friendly orchard (pine apple and lemon) farming techniques in the valleys of hills at Srimangol; establishment of Resource Management Committee with participation of local level stakeholders, and finally developing the Hail haor watershed management plan.
For climate adaptation project under Netherlands Climate Assistance Fund (NCAP), Mr. Haque was responsible to work closely with a team of architect, structural engineer and naval engineer for re-strengthening traditional houses into climate change resilient housing in Noakhali District of Bangladesh. He has also worked with the team to modify/reenforced traditional sea-going fishing boats to survive in cyclonic weather from capsize breaking the bottom of the boat.
From 2009 to 2017, Mr. Haque worked with World Bank Group (World Bank and IFC) to promote sustainable production and green operation in textile sector of Bangladesh under the Partnership for Cleaner Textile (PaCT) project. The IFC advisory along with support from the global renowned brands (H&N, Inditex, Levi’s, Primark etc.) of the readymade garments provided inputs directly to the textile operators and their associations in Bangladesh to address pollution abatement, resource efficiency and industrial waste recovery from the textile process. Mr. Haque then joined Asian Development Bank in mid 2017 as an intermittent specialist consultant to ensure environment safeguard issues in infrastructure development projects in Bangladesh.
Md. Shafiqul Haque
Mr. Shafiq has completed his graduation in 1987. He has been doing business in the construction sector since 1996. He is the key project operator in the field and managing sales and marketing of the company. He has versatile negotiation ability and been playing a significant role in furnishing joint venture agreements with landowners on behalf of Exotica Homes Ltd.
Mr. Shafiq has commendable capacity in dispute mitigation and managing construction sites for smooth operations of the project.
He is also conversant and socially engaged with various social activities.
Md. Riazul Haque
Md. Riazul Haque is a post graduate from Department of Finance of Dhaka University. As Finance Director of this company, he is responsible for executing finance operations of this company. Mr. Riaz gained extensive experience in garment manufacturing and export related business operation as Operations Directors of Glare Fashions Ltd. Moreover, he is at present also serving as the Country Manager of Poke Jeans, a Polish Brand out sourcing garments from Bangladesh.
He is the proprietor of Global Trims, a garment accessories manufacturing company in Bangladesh.
